Automatic Reinforcement Plate Bonding System

The reinforcement plate laminating machine “SSE-3ST1005” is a device designed to apply reinforcement plates, supplied in rolls, to specific positions on flexible substrates. After the reinforcement plates are applied, the products are cut to a fixed length. The use of a three-head system significantly improves takt time and productivity, while image processing ensures high-precision application through position correction.

・The roll-shaped workpiece (reinforcement plate) with adhesive film is peeled and inverted at the pickup stage, then picked up one by one by the pickup head. Using the position information obtained through image processing as correction values, the reinforcement plates are applied to arbitrary positions on the sheet material, which is also supplied in rolls. The sheet with the specified number of plates applied is then cut to a fixed length.

・The device is equipped with a sheet material fixing and transport (X) axis and three pickup heads for transporting the reinforcement plates. Each of the three heads has a positioning (Y) axis for forward and backward movement, a rotation (θ) axis, and four vertical movement (Z) axes for vacuum suction, transfer, and positioning of up to four reinforcement plates at a time per head.

・The three pickup heads operate independently for pickup, image processing, and lamination, reducing idle time and contributing to improved takt time.

・The image processing device measures the center of gravity and rotation angle of each reinforcement plate on the pickup head, using this data to correct the X/Y/θ directions during lamination.
